Well, I realize that I have perhaps left some of my readers in suspense about the success of my schooling in Argentina. I did have many amazing experiences, but overall my purpose was to receive a satisfactory score on my CLEP Spanish Exam.
I went to Triton College three days after arriving home, and took the exam. It was a great success! I scored 72 out of 80. If I had not already received credits for Spanish, I would have had a total of 15 credits from this CLEP score. As it was, I managed to get another 8 added on which created a total of 16 credits.
I have decided to pursue a Spanish minor and take a middle school endorsement class, which means I will be able to teach Spanish to middle-schoolers. I think this is a good fit for me. I only need to take one more Spanish class, and then a class about teaching foreign languages.
I am also in a Cultural Anthropology class this semester, which I think my time in another culture will help me out with.
So, that is the end of my Argentina portion of this blog.
I hope to continue by describing other events in my life and by giving my opinion on the practice of Organization (and maybe a few other things).

way to go Laura! we are proud of the way you stewarded this great opportunity, you are a wise woman. your plan on how to leverage the Spanish and cultural experiences is a great way to pay attention to how the Lord is leading you.
i would add a word of caution about cultural anthropology, weigh carefully their concepts and methods against the person and works of Jesus.
epistemology is often wrapped up in such cultural anthropology studies and all that can make one’s head swim with new questions. questions are fine, but one will always turn to guides to help make one’s way through the (normal) confusions. choose your guides well, based on trust. ask yourself as you think through those issues, “who do i trust?” and “who has shown themselves worthy of my trust?”
as you answer those questions, the people (be they living [Jesus, friends, relatives, teachers, etc] or dead [authors of various books, teachers of your teachers’]) who come to mind who have earned your trust, their words and actions must weigh heavier than those who have not earned your trust.
i do not believe there is “certainty” in epistemology, but there is “confidence”. we can be confident that the Words of Jesus are true (universally, when properly exegeted).
we look forward to how the Lord will continue to reveal Himself to you and grow you by His grace! keep posting entries!
